For me, an autumn romance isn't simply a book where someone mentions pumpkin spice or puts on a jumper. I want atmosphere. I want changing seasons, dramatic skies, rain, cosy places, walks through woodland, festivals, and firesides. I also want characters who are going through some kind of change themselves.
